Telangana Legislative Council approves SC classification

Hyderabad, Feb 4 (UNI) The Telangana Legislative Council has approved the classification of Scheduled Castes (SCs) in the state, marking a significant step towards social justice and equitable distribution of benefits among various SC sub-groups.

Following the government's statement on the summary of the SC Classification Commission report, it was revealed that a total of 59 sub-castes have been identified among the SCs. The commission recommended dividing them into three groups to ensure fair representation and access to government benefits.

Madurai (Tamil Nadu), Feb 18 (UNI) BJP State president K.Annamalai on Tuesday charged that 'women are completely unsafe in Tamil Nadu and the DMK government has not moved a single finger to ensure the safety of women.'
In a post on ‘X’, Annamalai said ‘the news of a 17-year-old girl being gang-raped by seven students in Coimbatore is shocking.’
