Pak: Agitators block China's border over tax issue

Islamabad, Aug 1 (UNI) The demonstration against the enforcement of the ruling by the GB Chief Court - which prohibits the collection of income tax, sales tax, and additional sales tax on goods imported from China via the Khunjerab Pass - grew more intense on Thursday, Dawn reported.
The protesters interfered with immigration procedures and blocked the Pass - a route to China from Pakistan.
They threatened to block the Karakoram Highway, which is part of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), the main entry and exit points at Khunjerab Top, and extended the protest to other areas of the region if their demands were not met.
