NSA Ajit Doval calls on French President Emmanuel Macron, conveys greetings of PM Modi

Paris/New Delhi, Oct 1 (UNI) National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is in Paris, on Tuesday called on French President Emmanuel Macron and conveyed the greetings of PM Narendra Modi.
Earlier, NSA Doval met his French counterpart Emmanuel Bonne for the annual bilateral Strategic Dialogue. He also held talks with French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu during which they discussed bilateral defence cooperation, including the Rafale Marine, Scorpene submarines, and the Ukraine conflict.
The Indian Embassy in Paris said on X:
“NSA Ajit Doval calls on French President HE @EmmanuelMacron
“Conveyed PM @narendramodi’s greetings. Reiterated commitment to implement the India-France Horizon 2047 roadmap.
“President stressed the value of India-France efforts to advance peace and address global challenges; appreciated PM Modi’s initiatives.”
The Indian Embassy in France in posts on X said:
“NSA Ajit Doval and French President’s Diplomatic Advisor Emmanuel Bonne led the Strategic Dialogue in Paris that anchors the India-France strategic partnership of great trust and comfort, and high ambitions and responsibilities in the Indo Pacific and beyond, and from cyber to space.”
On NSA’s meeting with the Armed Forces Minister, it posted:
“On his visit to France, India’s National Security Advisor, Shri Ajit Doval, engaged in extensive discussions with French Armed Forces Minister, Mr. Sébastien Lecornu. Their dialogue aimed at deepening bilateral defense cooperation and advancing space collaboration, while also sharing insights on the evolving international geopolitical landscape.”
The French Embassy in Delhi said that NSA Doval and his French counterpart Emmanuel Bonne discussed a wide range of issues, including Ukraine, and agreed to substantially step up bilateral cooperation.
“NSA Ajit Doval led an Indian delegation to Paris for strategic dialogue consultations with his French counterpart, Emmanuel Bonne.
“They discussed a wide range of issues and crises, including Ukraine, and agreed to substantially step up our bilateral coop.”
The French Embassy said the talks with French Defence Minister Sébastien Lecornu ranged from bilateral defence cooperation - the Rafale Marine, Scorpene submarines, space - to the international situation, particularly in Ukraine.
