LS Election: Bottling Plant license suspended in Punjab

Chandigarh, May 24 (UNI) The Punjab Excise Department has closed a number of vends supplying illegal liquor and registered FIR against the active partners under various provisions of the Punjab Excise Act 1914, an official said on Friday.
The decisions were taken to ensure free and fair elections by establishing complete control over smuggling of liquor as well as illicit distillation.
