Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar sent to four day judicial custody

Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar sent to four day judicial custody

New Delhi, May, 24(UNI) A Delhi Court on Friday ordered four days of judicial custody of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar who was arrested in connection with the alleged assault on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal.
Metropolitan Magistrate Gaurav Goyal passed the order after hearing the request on behalf of the Prosecution.
The prosecution moved an application seeking four days of judicial custody by submitting that Kumar was non-cooperative during the investigation.
In the meantime, Counsel for Bibhav Kumar moved a bail application on behalf of Kumar. The prosecution opposed the bail application by submitting that at this stage the application is not applicable as the matter is under investigation. The court listed the bail application for reply and argument to Monday.
It is alleged that Kumar had assaulted Maliwal at the official residence of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on May 13. Delhi Police arrested him on May 18 after registration of case.
