Woman killed in cracker unit blast, Stalin announces solatium

Chennai, June 15 (UNI) A 37-year-old woman worker was killed in a blast at
a private cracker manufacturing unit at Periyakumatty village in Bhuvanagiri
Taluk in Cuddalore district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday.
Police sources said the deceased woman was identified as Lathakumari.
Police and fire service personnel, rushed to the spot, removed her body from
the debris and shifted to government hospital for post mortem.
Meanwhile, in a statement, Chief Minister M K Stalin expressed deep anguish
and grief over the death of the woman worker and announced an assistance
of Rs four lakh from the Chief Minister's Public Relief Fund.
He also offered his deepest condolences to the bereaved family members.
