Three injured in Mumbai wall collapse

Mumbai, June 24 (UNI) Three persons, including two children, were injured after a partial house wall collapsed in Bhandup area early Tuesday during heavy rains in Mumbai.
According to fire bridge sources, the incident occurred at Punjabi Chawl, located in Hanuman Nagar area, adjacent to a drain and was reported to the authorities around 7 am by the S Ward Control Room.
The wall of a residential structure gave way, likely weakened by its proximity to the nearby drain. Emergency response teams from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai Fire Brigade (MFB), local police and ward-level staff were immediately rushed to the site to carry out rescue and relief operations, officials added.
