Sri Lanka, India in talks for setting up a power line and land connection: President Wickremesinghe

Colombo/New Delhi, June 19 (UNI) Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that a feasibility study is being conducted on establishing a power line connection between Sri Lanka and India, and further discussions would be held during Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar’s visit tomorrow.
President Wickremesinghe also said that a pre-feasibility study for a land connection between Sri Lanka and India has been completed, and a full feasibility study will be conducted in the near future.
President Wickremesinghe said this during his meeting with Most Rev. Dr. Fidelis Lionel Emmanuel Fernando, the Bishop of Mannar, Diocese of Mannar at the Mannar Bishops House.
