Southwest Monsoon further advanced into some more parts of Maldives

Pune, May 24 (UNI) Southwest Monsoon has further advanced into some more parts of Maldives and Comorin area, south Bay of Bengal, remaining parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Andaman Sea and some parts of eastcentral Bay of Bengal today, the 24th of May.
Conditions are favourable for further advance of Southwest Monsoon over some more parts of south Bay of Bengal, central Bay of Bengal and some parts of northeast Bay of Bengal during next 2 days.
Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at many places over Assam and Meghalaya; at isolated places over Jammu Division, west Rajasthan, west Madhya Pradesh and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at a few places over east Rajasthan and Gujarat Region; at isolated places over Vidarbha, Gangetic West Bengal and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few places over Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and at isolated places over east Madhya Pradesh, Odisha, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada. These were markedly below normal (-5.1°C or less) at isolated places over east Uttar Pradesh, Kerala and Mahe, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal; appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at many places over Lakshadweep; at a few places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands; at isolated places over Bihar, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places west Uttar Pradesh, Telangana, Rayalaseema and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 48.8°C was reported at Barmer (Rajasthan) over the country.

Car owned by MLA’s kin kills teenager
