SKorean oppn leader says Prez may provoke conflict with NKorea

Seoul, Dec 4 (UNI) Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the main opposition Democratic Party, said on Wednesday that after failing to impose martial law, South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol may provoke North Korea and escalate the situation on the border to military clashes.
"President Yoon Suk Yeol unsuccessfully attempted to impose martial law and will try again, but there is an even greater danger. There is a serious risk that [Yoon] could provoke North Korea by disrupting the stability of the armistice line and escalating [situation] to an armed conflict ... If martial law aimed at maintaining power is not enough, then they will be ready to put people's lives on the line," Lee said at a rally, organized by opposition parties.
