Six more judges take oath in Allahabad HC

Prayagraj, Apr 18 (UNI) Six judges took the oath of office and secrecy in Allahabad High Court on Friday.
Allahabad High Court Bar Association President and senior advocate Anil Tiwari said that Chief Justice Arun Bhansali administered the oath of office to six new judges. "All were district judges till now. Jitendra Kumar Sinha, Anil Kumar (tenth), Sandeep Jain, Avnish Saxena, Madan Pal Singh and Harveer Singh took oath as additional judges," he said.
He said that other judges and representatives of the Bar Association were present during the oath ceremony. "After these six judges took charge, the total number of judges in the Allahabad High Court, which has 160 judges, has become 87. Out of these, 23 judges are from Lucknow Bench," he said.
