Seven all-party delegations, led by former top Indian diplomats, to travel to different countries as part of Operation Sindoor

New Delhi, May 17 (UNI) Seven all-party delegations, led by former top Indian diplomats, will embark on missions to different countries as part of the Modi government’s message against terrorism as part of Operation Sindoor.
Union Minister Kiren Rijiju, posting the groups on X, said:
“Seven All-Party Delegations will soon engage key nations under #OperationSindoor, reflecting our collective resolve against terrorism.
“One mission. One message. One Bharat”.
Each group comprises eight members, and is led by an MP who is group leader, with an accompanying former top diplomat.
Group 1, will travel to Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Algeria. It has Baijayant Panda of the BJP as group leader, besides BJP MPs Nishikant Dubey, Phangnon Konyak, and Rekha Sharma, as well as senior politician from Kashmir Ghulam Nabi Azad, AIMIM’s Asaduddin Owaisi, and nominated MP Satnam Singh Sandhu. The group will be accompanied by former FS Harsh Vardhan Shringla.
Group 2, will travel to UK, France, Germany, EU, Italy, Denmark. It will be headed by Ravi Shankar Prasad of the BJP, with other members being Priyanka Chaturvedi of Shiv Sena UBT, TDP’s Daggubati Purandeswari, nominated MP Ghulam Ali Khatana, Amar Singh INC, BJP’s Samik Bhattacharya, former journalist-minister MJ Akbar, with former Ambassador and Deputy NSA Pankaj Saran accompanying them.
Group 3, will travel to Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Japan, Singapore. It will be led by Sanjay Kumar Jha of the JDU, with other members being cricketer and TMC MP Yusuf Pathan, John Brittas of the CPIM, and BJP MPs Aparajita Sarangi, Brij Lal, Pradan Baruah and Hemang Joshi, besides senior Congress leader and former EAM Salman Khurshid, with Ambassador Mohan Kumar accompanying them.
Group 4, will travel to the UAE, Liberia, DR Congo, Sierra Leone. It will be headed by Shrikanth Shinde of the Shiv Sena, with other members including BJP MPs Bansuri Swaraj (daughter of former EAM Sushma Swaraj), Atul Garg and Manan Kumar Mishra, as well as ET Mohammad Basheer of the IUML, Sasmit Patra of BJD, and senior BJP MP SS Ahluwalia. The group will be accompanied by Ambassador Sujan Chinoy.
Group 5, will travel to USA, Panama, Guyana, Brazil, Colombia. It will be headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor, with the other members including Sarfaraz Ahmed of the JMM, LJP (Ram Vilas) MP Shambhavi, TDP’s G.M. Harish Balayogi, BJP’s Shashank Mani Tripathi and Bhubaneswar Kalita, Milind Deora of Shiv Sena, and Tejasvi Surya of BJP. Former Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu will accompany the group.
Group 6, will travel to Greece, Slovenia, Latvia, Russia. It will be headed by DMK MP Kanimozhi, with the other members including Rajeev Rai of the SP, Ashok Kumar Mittal of AAP, Mian Altaf Ahmad of the NC, BJP’s Brijesh Chowta, RJD’s Prem Chand Gupta. The group will have two former top Indian diplomats accompanying it ; Amb Manjeev S Puri, and Amb Jawed Ashraf, who was Indian Ambassador to France before his retirement.
Group 7 will travel to Egypt, Qatar, Ethiopia, South Africa. It will be headed by Supriya Sule, of the NCP (SP), and include Rajiv Pratap Rudy of the BJP, Manish Tewari of INC, Anurag Singh Thakur of BJP, Congress leader Anand Sharma, BJP leader and former MoS External Affairs V Muraleedharan, besides AAP’s Vikramjeet Singh Sahney, TDP’s Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu. Accompanying the group will be former MEA spokesperson and ex Indian Ambassador to the UN, Syed Akbaruddin.
Ravi Shankar Prasad in a post on X said:
“I am deeply grateful that Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji has entrusted me with the responsibility of leading a delegation of parliamentarians from various political parties to visit the UK, France, Germany, the European Union, Italy, and Denmark. Our mission is to convey India's strong stance against terrorism and highlight how Pakistan has become a sanctuary for global terrorism.
“We will also showcase the bravery, strength, and technological advancements of the Indian armed forces that have countered terrorism effectively. This is the new India, which believes in peace and amity while also possessing the capability to counter terrorism within Pakistani territory with precision.
“I warmly welcome my colleagues in this delegation."
