Donald Trump signs executive order on TikTok

Donald Trump signs executive order on TikTok

Washington, Jan 21 (UNI) US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order on TikTok, saying that the United States could enter into a joint venture with the app owner, ByteDance, to resume operation of the platform.
"Well, it depends on the deal. I mean, I may not do the deal. I may do the deal. Tiktok is worthless, worthless if I don't approve it … if I do the deal for the United States, then I think we should get half. I think the US should be entitled to get half of Tiktok. And congratulations. Tiktok has a good partner, and that would be worth, you know, could be $500 billion or something … I think we would have a joint venture with the people from Tiktok. We'll see what happens," Trump said.
