Bihar bypolls: 22.28 pc voter turnout till 11 am

Patna, Nov 13 (UNI) A voter turnout of 22.28 percent was registered till 11 am on Wednesday in the bypolls to four assembly seats in Bihar, an official said
Sources of Office of Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) said here that the highest polling of 24.81 percent was recorded in Belaganj whereas the Tarari assembly seat recorded the lowest polling of 19.6 percent. In Imamganj 23.25 percent of polling took place while in Ramgarh it was 21.56 percent so far.
More than 12.02 lakhs electorate are set to exercise their franchise to decide the fate of 38 candidates including 5 women in four assembly seats.
Meanwhile a report from Gaya said that the voters in Dadma village of Belaganj assembly, demanding construction of the road boycotted the polling so far on booth number 24.
The polling in the extremist's infested Imamganj Assembly Constituency of Gaya district was in progress under heavy security arrangements. Of 346 polling booths of Imamganj constituency, 320 were highly sensitive where the polling would end at 16.00 hours. On 26 booths the voters can exercise their franchise till 16.00 hours.
Meanwhile Union Minister and founder of Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) Jitan Ram Manjhi through his social media post on X, appealed to the voters to participate in the democratic process and exercise their franchise in large numbers to elect their representatives.
