Ind- Eng Test series: England makes a comeback after Yashasvi, KL give India a good start

Leeds, June 20 (UNI) England were able to get two Indian wickets after openers Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul gave India a good start in the first Test of the five match India England series being played at Headingley.

India went to lunch at 92/2 with Jaiswal unbeaten on 42. Rahul looked promising until he was caught by Joe Root of the bowling of Bryden Carse. Rahul slashed at a ball outside off stump, but only managed to edge the ball to Root in the slips.
Debutant Sai Sudharsan lasted only four balls before being caught behiend off the bowling of skipper Ben Stokes. He tried to flick a leg side delivery sucseeding only in getting a faint edge that was caught by Jamie Smith. Sudharsan fell during th elast over prior to lunch.
Earlier England captain Ben Stokes chose to bowl after winning the toss.

Paris, July 14(UNI) Tim Merlier (Soudal Quick-Step) secured his second Tour de France win in a week, denying Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek) a double of his own, thanks to deft maneuvering and a serious turn of speed inside the final 200m of the stage. As sure as it was to finish in a bunch sprint in Chateauxroux, the scene of three Mark Cavendish victories, it almost didn't.
