Jharkhand sanctions Rs 146.79 crore for police vehicle procurement

Ranchi, July 11 (UNI) The Jharkhand Cabinet today approved the procurement of 2,388 vehicles for the state police at a total estimated cost of Rs 146.79 crore. The decision was taken in the meeting chaired by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.

Palamu man kills ex-colleague with drug injection, arrested

Palamu, July 11 (UNI) The Palamu Police claim to have solved a murder case with the arrest of 27-year-old Tabrez Alam, who allegedly killed his former colleague by injecting a sedative and strangling him before dumping the body in a canal. The body of Tabish Ansari was recovered on July 8 from a canal in Japla Dharhara under Hussainabad police station. A case was registered the same day under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.
