Kewal Singh Pathania slams Centre for giving step-motherly treatment to Himachal

Kangra, Mar 16 (UNI) Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania in the state Assembly on Sunday hit out at the central government, alleging that it was giving a step-motherly treatment to Himachal Pradesh in providing GST compensation cess.
He said that earlier, the state used to receive GST compensation worth around Rs 16,000 crore, which was stopped in June 2022.
The GST compensation cess was the only thing that the previous government was getting at the rate of Rs 3,200 crore every year for five years, he claimed.
