Kashmiri Mathematician unveils India’s first Hi-Tech Solar car in Srinagar

Srinagar, Feb 10 (UNI) Kashmiri Mathematician Bilal Ahmad Mir has become the first person to manufacture India’s high-tech solar car, "RAY," which was unveiled in Srinagar on Monday.

Mir famous for his groundbreaking innovations, launched the revamped version of his solar car with a brand-new design, enhanced efficiency, and advanced technology.

"It has been my dream since 2009 to establish Bilal Innovative Solar Automobile (BISA) and manufacture a unique version of a solar-powered car," said the mathematician-turned-engineer.

However, he said that there were many ups and downs during all these years. “In my first technical innovation, I converted a vehicle into a hydrogen gas version but due to some technical snags later I converted it into EV (electricity)”, he told media persons here.

Mir said the EV car was solely dependent on electricity which he later modified into solar energy.

“I have read many published journals of Solar technology and worked very hard day and night to complete my dream project”, he said.

The Kashmiri Mathematician also studied various luxury car designs from way back 1950s to the present in order to incorporate the latest technological elements in the design of this car.

He claims that his research has been published in six countries for which he has been called the “Elon Musk of Kashmir”.

The Solar powered vehicle Red color car features a brand-new design with enhanced efficiency and technology.

“I fully self sponsored the venture and spent more than 20 lakh to complete my dream project”, Mir said.

The Mathematician said, earlier, Mahindra Company Chairman Anand Mahindra had shown interest in his model but the collaboration failed to take off due to technical issues.

The Car doors feature a gull-wing design, not only presenting a beautiful look but have been equipped with solar panels to generate additional power. Its sleek design reduces wind resistance, making it more effective and efficient.

Mir claims that his RAY charges itself even in cloudy and snowy weather in comparison to other most electric cars that need sunlight to charge.

The car functions like any other vehicle with a five seating capacity, besides it has a dual power system combining solar energy and rechargeable battery with a charging port located near the rear boot.
