Karnataka’s inflation highest in India: Vijayendra

Bengaluru, Mar 18 (UNI) Karnataka BJP State President Vijayendra Yediyurappa on Tuesday warned that the state's total debt is projected to surpass ₹9 lakh crore by 2027-28, with interest payments alone exceeding ₹60,000 crore.
He further highlighted that Karnataka currently has the highest inflation rate in the country at 5.03 per cent, far above Maharashtra (3.39 per cent), Andhra Pradesh (4.02 per cent), and Gujarat (3.88 per cent).
Speaking in the Legislative Assembly, Vijayendra criticised the Congress government for its failure to implement measures to curb the mounting debt and highlighted the alarming financial trajectory the state is on.
