INDIA Alliance govt will provide Rs 1 lakh to woman of poor families : Rahul

Bolangir (Odisha), May 15 (UNI) Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday said each woman from poor, backward classes, minority and labourers families will get Rs.1 lakh in a year when the INDIA alliance government will be formed after June 4.
Addressing Jan Arshibad meeting here, in his second leg of electioneering in support of party candidates contesting both Lok Sabha and Assembly elections in Odisha, he said a list of backward classes, minority, labourers and others will be prepared in the country who have become poor during the last ten years of Modi government.
Once the list is prepared each poor woman from these families will get Rs 1 lakh annually, he said, adding that the first installment of Rs 8500 will be paid in July and subsequently they will be paid the rest in installments so that crores of women will become lakhpati in the country.
The former Congress President targeted the Prime Minister for handing over PSUs to private industrial houses and waiving the loan of Rs.16 lakh crores to 22 big houses, an amount equal to 24 years of MGNREGA amount.
The Wayanad MP also targeted a section of the media for highlighting 24 hours on Modi and never raising the issues of poor people, mazdoors, adivasis, dalits and minorities in the country.
Rahul alleged that the BJP leaders have claimed that if voted to power they will amend the Constitution.“But I want to tell the BJP leaders that no power in the world can change the constitution.
The former Congress President announced that the INDIA alliance if voted to power will waive off loans of the farmers and provide guaranteed MSP for paddy and other crops. The daily wage of workers at the MGNREGA will be raised to Rs.400, Rahul said.
Gandhi, who had made a scathing attack on the Naveen Patnaik government in the state at his first public meeting at Salepur in Coastal Odisha, last month, however, did not utter a single word against either the BJD government or Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
