GMR Hyderabad Intl Airport upgrades its runway to CAT II instrument landing System

Hyderabad, Feb 17 (UNI) GMR Hyderabad International Airport Limited (GHIAL) on Monday announced the successful installation and commissioning of advanced navigational infrastructure at GMR Hyderabad International Airport (GHIA), marking a significant advancement in the facility's operational capabilities and safety protocols.
The Airport has completed the installation and commissioning of the Category II Instrument Landing System (ILS) and associated runway lighting system on the primary runway, the airport said in a release here.
This sophisticated system, commissioned recently, enables aircraft to safely land in challenging visibility conditions as low as 300 meters (RVR).
