Congress ad does not name publisher, EC should act: Chavan

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Nov 6 (UNI) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Rajya Sabha MP Ashok Chavan on Wednesday alleged that Congress flouted Election Commission rules by publishing an advertisment without naming the publisher for the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly polls.
Chavan, who was in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to campaign for BJP candidates, told a press conference that an election advertisement brought out by the Congress did not mention the name of the publisher, whereas it is mandatory for all political parties to do so.
He said the Election Commission should take serious note of the rule violation and take action against Congress.
