Tel Aviv, Sep 15 (UNI) Approximately 40 projectiles were launched from Lebanon toward northern Israel on Sunday morning, with some intercepted and no reports of casualties, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said.
"After the alarms went off between 8:19 and 8:20 [05:19 and 05:20 am GMT] in the Upper Galilee area and the northern Golan Heights, about 40 launches were detected from the Lebanese side, some of which were intercepted, with the rest falling in open areas. No casualties were reported," the IDF said in a statement.
The projectiles that fell in open areas ignited fires, with firefighters are currently engaged in extinguishing them, the IDF said. UNI/SPUTNIK AKS
