8-10 cr devotees expected on Mauni Amavasya, prepare on war footing: Yogi

Lucknow, Jan 15 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Wednesday directed improved arrangements for the expected 8-10 crore devotees at Sangam on Mauni Amavasya on January 29.
While reviewing the turnout of over 6 crore devotees at the Maha Kumbh during Paush Purnima and Makar Sankranti festivals with senior officials at a high-level meeting, the CM stressed the need for enhanced preparations for the upcoming event.
He directed the officials to coordinate with the railways to ensure timely operation of special Maha Kumbh trains, emphasising the need for continuous operation of both regular and special trains, with increased frequency to accommodate the large number of devotees.

Hoshiarpur, Feb 11 (UNI) An FIR has been registered at Garhdiwala police station after a video went viral on social media, showing several men openly firing shots during a wedding function, an officer said on Tuesday
The police said the incident took place on the night of February 8, in Khurda village. The celebratory firing occurred during a function related to the wedding of Gurpreet Singh's younger brother.
