Shimla, Nov 11 (UNI) A massive fire broke out in two houses in the Rohru area of the Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday early morning after LPG cylinders caught fire.
According to police sources, Fire broke out at 4:30 am on Monday in Seri village of Samarkot under Rohru subdivision. Two houses were completely burnt to ashes in this, while two other houses were also damaged by the flames.
According to preliminary information, some cylinders burst during the fire. A cow was also burnt alive in this.
After receiving information about the fire in Seri village, a team of fire brigade personnel from Rohru reached the spot.
After a lot of hard work by the fire personnel, the fire was brought under control, preventing it from spreading to other houses in the village.
The victims are identified as Kailash Shiv Saran and Mohan Lal, whose houses are completely burnt to ashes. The fire has been engulfed in flames.
The loss in this incident is estimated to be in lakhs of rupees.
The fire brigade and police teams are present at the spot and are busy assessing the cause of the fire and the damage.
