12583 permission requests received across Punjab for campaign activities: CEO

Chandigarh, May 24 (UNI) Punjab Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sibin C on Friday said an impressive
12,583 permission requests for campaign activities were received from political parties and candidates across the state, of which 9,616 were accepted by the officers concerned at the district level,
Only 378 applications are pending. A total of 1,656 requests were rejected, 318 applications are in progress and 615 were,cancelled as of May 23.
