Türkiye detains 153 suspects in Istanbul drug crackdown

Ankara, Feb. 26 (UNI) Turkish police have detained 153 suspects in a large-scale anti-drug operation in Istanbul province, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said Wednesday.
The operation, dubbed "Narkopan-14," targeted street-level drug dealers in the Gaziosmanpasa and Kagithane districts, Yerlikaya said on X, without specifying the time frame of the operation.
Authorities seized 25.5 kg of heroin, 17 kg of methamphetamine, some weapons, and large sums of foreign currency and Turkish lira, he said.
